It sounds like he was suffering from schizophrenia.

Or he really saw something. Everyone has the ability to be psychic (whether you [you as in anyone] believe it or not) but children's abilities are more powerful than most adults- since adults close their minds to things.

Anyways, Happy Halloween to boltano black and kohtotherscue!!!

Everyone has psychic abilities? It's a funny thing then that no one's picked up the million dollar reward that JREF offers, for proving to have even a modicum of psychic powers. Since if anyone can be psychic, you'd think someone strapped for cash would have stepped up by now and taken that easy money, right?
No one has.
So whether you, (the rhetorial 'you'), want to believe it or not, it's far more likely that the poor kid was suffering from a delusional perceptual schema.

If you want to believe in ghosts, though, this is certainly the day for it. So have a blast, and Happy Hallowed Eve.

People who have tuned into their psychic abilities are not the ones that desire to win the lottery. Some people that are psyhcic (that do want money) feel that using those powers for something like that is wrong. How do you know that the people that have won the lotteries weren't psychic? Just because none have gone for the mega-huge-super-fantastic sized ones doesn't mean phsycics have never won. And to add to it, one's psychic abilites take years upon years to develp- and most highly skilled phsycics can't control what they "see" or don't "see"- it's all about what they're supposed to see.

When my brother Mark was little, he often played games with an imaginary friend. We figured this was normal for a little kid, so we didn't worry about it.

One day, we asked him who his friend was. Mark said, "Ben." When we asked what Ben looked like, Mark pointed to a picture on the wall and said, "That's him." The picture was an old painting of Grandpa (Ben) as a young man in his military uniform.

Mark was born at least three years after Grandpa died and had no way of knowing that Grandpa's real name was Ben.

I don't think so. But I'm not sure if we've ever really talked about it with him.

I heard a similar story once, about a little boy who was scared of a creepy clown that often showed up in his house, but no one else could see it and just thought he was making things up... but then the babysitter saw it too, and called the police, and it turned out to be an insane midget that had escaped from a mental hospital... or something. Even though I know it's probably not true, that story freaked me out- it was probably the clown thing.

Ooh, I really like your icon. :) And that is one creepy stories...I find that so many more people are creeped out by clowns than entertained by them, lol

Thanks!

And I agree... when you know more adults who are scared of clowns than who think they're funny, there's definitely a problem there. :P
