Of course, the perfect cop Dojima wanted to go and talk to them... when all that was on Adachi's mind was figuring out how the hell to get out of there. He wanted to seek out the 'Overseers' and just... do something terrible to them.
"Aah, yeah, great idea, Dojima-san." He feigned a laugh and sat down beside him on the couch. "Several of them are here... I saw Kanji Tatsumi and Yosuke Hanamura both posting on the phones we've been given..."

He sipped at his coffee again. He was glad there was coffee here. Coffee and alcohol and cigarettes. If he wasn't so worried about Nanako, he might have been able to consider it a vacation.
"I hate to admit this, but aside from that, I don't really know what else to do. The Overseers are more powerful than the average perps," he said miserably.

"That's true." Adachi replied, feigning interest as he took a sip of his own coffee. Really, he hated the stuff but... he could use an energy boost, especially if they were going to go on and on about Souji's pathetic friends.
"I'm not so sure they are even human." He added thoughtfully though he knew a suggestion like that would probably just get him smacked. "What if they're aliens? Or something supernatural? How else can you explain what they've done?"

While he did from time to time like to pretend that he was an idiot for the sake of the part he played, he wasn't actually stupid. He knew that Dojima didn't really give a shit what he thought of how he felt. He'd proved that to be the case on more than one occasion. Perhaps it was people like him that had ruined him and made him so bitter.
But still, the rookie feigned a grin. "Uh... well, I don't know, Dojima-san." He sighed with an idle shrug of his shoulders. "It's just... what else could explain such a wide scale kidnapping? Especially when some of these people almost seem like they're from completely different worlds!"
But... why worry about the details? Why worry about any of that bullshit when their lives were the ones at stake? They needed to be out on the streets, trying to find a way out! Not worrying about stupid kids or just WHAT supernatural entity brought them there?
