Who: Theodore takoyakistrap, Arisato Hamuko cheeryheroine Where: Sapphire Park When: Evening. First day. Open/Closed: Closed but anyone could join if they really wanted to. Rating: PG? Around there?
It was getting dark when Hamuko left her apartment with her headphones plugged in, mp3 player swinging from around her neck and her Evoker strapped to her leg, underneath her skirt. Normally, she would have it hanging from her waist but since this was a new area and it wasn't Dark Hour, she thought this would be safer. She'd hate to break tradition of not having it on her person during all hours of night. And secretly, she felt as though she would let SEES down if she didn't have it
( ... )
The sound of his name startled Theo from his sunset-induced daze and he promptly stood, straightening out his bright blue uniform and looking curiously around for any sight of Hamuko.
At the sight of her, his frown blossomed into a brilliant smile and he made his way towards her, all dark feelings having completely disappeared from mind.
"I had simply sat down to take a break." He informed her once he'd approached, "But it would appear that we found each other instead."
She certainly looked as though she had done well for herself out on her own. He wished he could have said the same for himself. Often, Theo found himself alone but... never quite this alone. The streets were deserted and the city was so very large. With as little people as there had been around, it was enough to give him a chill.
Hamuko had to grin when she saw him. Finally, she ran into someone who was aware of the Dark Hour and discuss things with, someone who could understand her without calling her crazy. She could only imagine how Kazushi and Kenji would react if she showed them the Evoker and the 'ritual suicide' to invoke her power. That wouldn't go all too well.
"I'm glad we did." Then, she grew quiet as she glanced around. It was just them in this huge park. Her muscles tensed up. She didn't like this feeling. This feeling was the nearly the same feeling she had in Tartarus when hardly any Shadows were on a certain floor and paved the way for Death. Hamuko took in a deep breath. It was hard to calm down a fighter's paranoia. Swallowing slowly, she asked Theo, "It's strange, isn't it? Have you run into anyone on your way here?"
Theo found another smile at her question. "I awoke in a residence with a man named Razer who is in a similar situation as myself. He has long, strange ears--Quite larger than yours and mine. He makes... strange comments about them in relation to other parts of his body but... I am quite uncertain of the meaning behind them. He's the only person I've actually met as of yet but he's quite kind. I will have to introduce you."
This place did nothing to quell his own nerves. He no longer held the compendium, which truly worried him. In the wrong hands, he could only dread the possibilities. Hopefully it was still safe and sound back with his master...
"On my way here, however... I came across not a single soul. I was under the impression that most cities were bustling and filled with so many people that one could not cross the street without brushes of physical contact." He mused and looked back at her with uncertainty. "It's unsettling... but the quiet is rather nice."
"That would be nice." She said after he was done describing Razer. She loved meeting new people and making friends. Long ears? How odd. And he had an interesting name too. Hamuko doubted she ever heard of a name like that in real life, maybe in some of the novels she picked up in the past.
"I've only run into a few schoolmates from Gekkoukan. They're friends of friends, but I still know them. But I can't really confide them about everything." She folded her hands together and sighed. She hardly shared the same opinion of the quiet. It scared her, to be completely honest. "This reminds me of a bit of home - of what could happen after the Fall."
