Back in January, I wrote my thoughts on the movie here about the movie. At that time, the dvd wasn't out yet so I couldn't illustrate my favourite scenes. The dvd is out now so I've gone back and updated my post, but thought I'd post them separately here, too.

Oh god, you just made me cry. This is so beautiful. (Why are you doing this to me this morning - killing me with tragic scenes from some of my fave films?) ;)

Don't worry the last mini pic spam won't make you cry :D This movie is amazing but I'm not sure if I can watch it again. It's just so saaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. :'( Even doing the pic spam made me feel sad because I keep asking myself why he just gave up and let himself be killed. I know why he did it but I still ask WHHHHY.

I wonder if subconsciously this was why I hadn't yet bought the film. It is so haunting and hauntingly beautiful. The tragedy is that Justin never really understood his wife until she was gone. And finally understanding, he wanted to be with her again more than anything else. Owwwww, it's too, too sad.
