Back in January, I wrote my thoughts on the movie here about the movie. At that time, the dvd wasn't out yet so I couldn't illustrate my favourite scenes. The dvd is out now so I've gone back and updated my post, but thought I'd post them separately here, too.

I've mentioned that this movie is very bittersweet. Justin only gets to know Tess, his wife, after her death.
This following conversation is all in his head, but it's beautiful as Tess walks beside the car smiling at him.
You don't know where I'm going? You get one guess. I'm gonna surprise you, Tess....
Then there's the end of the movie . Justin is sitting alone by the lake waiting for his murderers to come. His imagination summons Tess to him for comfort.
Justin: I know all your secrets, Tess. I think I understand you now. You want me to come home - but I am home.
The movie is chilling though in the way it is able to shift from sweet, romantic comfort to menace.
"Mr. Quayle."
It is the voice of the man who has come to kill Justin.
