I really like what you said here "I realised that he was accepting of her choice to have Brody's baby. The acceptance is a really important part of their story... both ways...

I really like that scene because it showed Quinn looking happy, for the first time in ages... perhaps ever?? It was really bittersweet, not only because the baby was Brody's, but also that Quinn had given up his own, but mostly because I can imagine Quinn thinking that this is something he could never have... I REALLY loved that line in AstroMikeDexter's (?) story (Touchstone) about that... it was so sad.

I find it touching how accepting he is of Frannie because she's Carrie's baby. I mean, I'm a big Carrie fan and I'm still a bit ummm about the fact that she chose to have Brody's baby. I still can't quite understand why she loved him so much, why she was willing to risk so much for him and why she wanted to have his baby ... Part of it is because I still don't understand how she could be so wild about Brody and so clueless about Quinn for so long. I'm not saying she should have fallen in love with him but it's like - this guy treated you like crap and this one has never been anything but kind - be nice to him damnit!

It's funny that you mention that quote because enjoyingjoy was just mentioning it, too over here. And I agree, there is no way that season 3 Carrie was ready for Quinn ... his patience was perfect and I notice that he remained patient in season 4, too - electing to go to Islamabad instead of Kabul ... like he's there if she needs him, but not right there with her.

I wonder if she'll ever love him as much as she loved Brody?

I surely hope so! Just the thought of her not loving Quinn as much as loving Brody made me mad at her - if that's really the case, I'd rather they stay just friends. Quinn deserves better ( ... )
