I understand that - in many ways their relationship has been so one-sided with Quinn giving and Carrie taking, so it's natural to want a bit more reciprocity in the relationship. The good thing is that there is more mutual feeling in the relationship now and also Quinn has been the one choosing to give his time/feeling/effort to Carrie. He's going in with his eyes open as well and he obviously feels as though he gets something out of the relationship.
And he cares about her and asks her if she's okay - Saul didn't care... Saul was pretty cold … I couldn't believe how cold he was about it. Yes it was the play but it was a dangerous play, both from the perspective of the threat from Javadi but also there was Carrie's career and her very sanity. There's no telling what that hospitalisation could have done to her … going off her meds, being forcibly treated. It was a HUGE deal to ( ... )

Yes it's a huge jump. She's so hostile in the scene he tries to apologise, they smile at each other in the ops room but then don’t see one another again. Saul's out of the picture and then she's generally ok at the end of that episode but we get no explanation … a lot must have happened in those four months and the ease and casualness of the Carrie-Quinn interaction makes me positive that they got closer then. There would have also been a scene where Carrie asked Quinn to go to Kabul with her and he turned her down. I would have loved to have been able to write that scene, but couldn't which is why I cheated and wrote Pocket Dial instead, in which she asks him ( ... )
