Friday Night Lights: Season 3 and episodes 4.01 - 4.08 (spoilers)

I've finished season 3 of Friday Night Lights and am all caught up with season 4, having seen the latest episode being "4.08 Toilet Bowl".

I am really, really enjoying season 4 even though it's something of a downer. Quick thoughts.

Re: Asians in Texas. While the Asian population has been growing in TX, it has mainly been in big cities. Asians are less than 4% of the population in the state, so I don't think it is that strange that there aren't any Asian characters on the show. What's more strange is that they no longer have any Hispanic characters in the cast!

Yeah, I realize there are large Asian populations in big cities but East Dillon is supposed to be small. It bugs me that there are no Hispanic characters on the show anymore. It seems that there should be, considering where the show is supposed to take place. And if not in the town itself, at least in neighboring towns!

Heh, well if you get bored, I do recommend catching up with the series. Like you, I stopped watching after season 1 - just got out of the habit of it and the season seemed to end so beautifully. Nonetheless, despite a slightly rocky (crappy) start to season 2, the rest of the episodes are awesome and season 4 in particular is so exciting because of the storytelling
