confession: When I was in college, instead of paying for our own garbage service, we used to take our garbage to a nearby apartment complex at night (at least it was an apartment I used to live in...) and put our garbage in the big dumpsters... :)

You paid for a garbage service? Ours is automatically provided by the local government!

haha... yes, unfortunately. And we have to pay quite a bit for it too. Even living in an apartment, they charge us for water/sewer/garbage. Seems like they charge us for everything over here :(
