[The device is pointing upwards towards the sky, out of which someone in a blue suit is falling.  The suit is honestly a bit scary looking, but the wings are rather pretty, like they belong to a large blue dragonfly.]

That's the name of this place. And we're on a nexus apparently.

Okay. It's a city called the City. On a nexus. A nexus of what? And why do I have this communication device?

I wasn't. I mean...this is always an awkward explanation...I was talking to the Scarab. It's the technology that forms this suit.

Interesting. I know I've heard and seen weirder things when an answer like that doesn't even bother me.

So your name is Blue Beetle? I'm Hawkeye. Did somebody give you the guide already?

I don't know whether it's a good or bad thing that I'm suddenly almost normal by comparison to everything else. Probably bad.

That's me. Well, it's my superhero identity, anyway. I'm the third one to have the name. And yeah, someone sent me the guide. It's...not entirely helpful, but more helpful than I was hoping.

I don't really make a habit of popping off to other dimensions, but I have been to a planet in outer space and I've gone diving in the Bleed, which is the space that connects different universes. Only, I can't get to it now.

Yeah, you won't be able to get anywhere from here. It's like the deities suck all your power dry. At least in regards to leaving this place. I don't really have any actual powers to steal, so I don't know that from experience.

Well, I'm glad not all of my powers are gone. For one thing I'd be stuck without pants again.

So...you go to a lot of different worlds, then?

Ok, I was going to find a way to make that sound less weird, but there really isn't one.

I can almost hear it. Which I don't mean to pry, and I'm not, well, not really, but I'm a telepath and he's kinda interesting.

A symbiote I guess. I mean, it's a piece of alien technology that's attached itself to my spine, but it has its own intelligence and free will and is my friend now.

Um, I really suggest you don't listing too closely. The Scarab is very alien. Someone I know tried to get into its mind and, well, I really hurt her and I didn't mean to.
