Clapotis question (apologies in advance)

Does the increase section of the Clapotis use more, less or pretty much the same amount of yarn as the decrease section? I am almost sure it would be pretty much the same as it's the same number of stitches, but if it isn't, knowing now could save me some irritation (note the icon).

Just in case anyone wants to know why... )

Everything I've heard from clapotis_love and the Clappy yahoo group says that whatever you used for the beginning increases, allow the same amount for the decreases at the end. So yeah, they're the same for all practical purposes.
