Name that Sock

So I've been in a bit of a knitting slump recently. Well, actually, that's not true. I've been on a sewing kick, and my knitting has suffered. I'll have pictures of finished sewn stuff soon, but for now, the one knitting project I have finished:

As Yet Unnamed Socks )

Ebb and Flow

The pattern widens and then comes back together so it made me think of how the tide/waves change.

"the weight of water" is my contribution. (They're awful pretty.)

Mmmy, they're gorgeous, but reminding me more of spiderwebs than of anything watery (aside from the color). Heh, or chromosomes -- gathered together preparing to divide!

I don't usually knit socks, but if I win, I will knit these. charitybear June 22 2008, 14:15:08 UTC
My suggestions:

Ichorous. Ichor refers to an ethereal fluid that flows through the veins of the gods. Unfortunately, it also refers to watery discharge from a wound. So I'll let you be the judge on that one.

Intertidal. Refers to the "wet sand" area of the beach that is underwater when the tides are high.

Aqueous. Just a neat word.

Hydra. Because the pattern seems to have seven necks that branch out from the spot where it gathers on the ankle.
