James knew from his own past experience how important the briefing Becker was giving his men was, but that didn't stop his fears growing about Connor's safety.
He also knew Becker wouldn't be willing to allow him to accompany the team in, but who knew where the creature was or if it had discovered Connor. He refused to remain outside, helpless as he listened to events over the radio.
When James approached Becker he was surprised at the understanding in the soldier's eyes before he remembered Matt was inside, in danger and Becker knew his own fears far too well.
