Isn't the weather just delightful today? So much better than the oven we were baking in yesterday don't you agree?

[He chuckles quietly]

Now that my mind isn't melting, I cannot help but idly ponder some things about you lot ( Read more... )

Willow--!

While I appreciate your generosity, I do not require your help now, do you understand me?

Don't you ever bring that up again, do you understand!

Isn't summer already hot to begin with?

And I thought leadership required more than just flamboyant words.

Yesterday's heat was unbearable. That wasn't just "summer heat," that was "desert baking."

I'm afraid my opinion on this is null and void.

Pride well deserved isn't as grand a sin as some organisations would have you believe. It's never steered me wrong.

There's a first time for everything. I'm just going to let you know... The people of Gotham City tend to have a very strong independent streak. I'm not from here, but I've been here often enough and have enough friends from here to know that.

I just don't know how effective your offer is going to end up being, especially with the way you put it.

The people of Gotham are also idiots who think one man donating a bit of blood is going to cause some sort of biohazardous meltdown within the hospital. Even a half-wit commoner could give you a dozen reasons as to why a 'nefarious' scheme like that would crash like the Hindenburg.

I don't know nor rightly care if they're your friends, they're absolute morons who need guidance lest a strong breeze blow their curtains the wrong way and they think the world's coming to an end.

I'm a fool for not bending to your will immediately, am I?

You're a fool for denying the only chance this city should ever have at running in an organised, sophisticated manner.
