Kai was sick all day again today (started at around 3am). Poor guy is not doing well. I'm getting a little frayed as well. Not much sleep for either of us. Hopefully it will be over soon.

We both changed clothes several times today. And he has had two baths. Now that he's finally in bed, I need one too. bleh.

I was up till 1:30 am with Kai. He was a very sick and pukey little guy (cake, pizza and juice at a party. And then some tomatoes with cucumbers and juice later with a side of sinus drainage:). It was pretty chilly yesterday morning as I loaded Kai into the car with his juice and zip-loc bag of cashews. I left him there in the car for a moment as I ran back to the house to grab something. Kai loves his new Leap Frog ClickStart. He's learning to spell, type, send emails (postcards created and then sent on the machine), and hand/eye coordination. He plays it periodically throughout the day and can spell his name without prompting. Granted, it's only 3 letters, but still... The only drawback might be him not wanting to write. I posted awhile back about going to see The Police and Fiction Plane in concert. Since then, I have played Fiction Plane in the car a few times. I really love the whole CD. Tonight we learned that the sound of plopping Jello into a bowl is the same sound as a dog yakking on kitchen tile... only without the heaving sounds :)

In order to get Kai to leave her alone... Maia told Kai that he needed to run away so that the pudding would not get and eat him. He came running into the kitchen whining "I runnin... Pu din eat in me". He-he-he.

Kai finally decides to sleep in his "big boy train bed" and then a giant June Bug finds it's way in his room (after he has been quiet for more than a half an hour) and scares the holy hell out of him! He had his flash light on and the bug was casting shadows on the wall. It may as well have been a giant screeching vulture flapping around the room. ( Read more... )
