Just Great!

Kai finally decides to sleep in his "big boy train bed" and then a giant June Bug finds it's way in his room (after he has been quiet for more than a half an hour) and scares the holy hell out of him! He had his flash light on and the bug was casting shadows on the wall. It may as well have been a giant screeching vulture flapping around the room. ( Read more... )

The transition thing might just work. We'll see what happens.

Kai has never had a problem with thunder. Even when we've had some really harsh thunder here. We always portray it as something really cool that comes with rain.

Poor kiddo!! Unfortunately, I don't have much experience advice to give being that Little One was pretty easy to getting into her toddler bed. But, I do think juliarandolph's idea is definetely worth a try. :)

I got told about the "toilet monster" when I was about Kai's age. I pissed and ran for years after that. My parents thought it was a little odd that I went to bathroom with the door open and would run out with my pants around my knees.

They only found out the truth of my gigantic fear of the toilet monster (My older cousin told me the monster lived in the pipes of toilets, sleeping. The flushing woke it up. *shiver*) when I was in my teens.

The wool turtlenecks are a whole nother story.

The toilet monster? That's just plain mean.

A comedian once said that wearing a turtle neck is like being slowly strangled to death by a really weak person.

*grin*

Took YEARS to get over the toilet monster. That mofo scared the shit out of me. :P

I like that about the turtlenecks. Yeah. In Montreal (we moved to the States when I was 5) in the winter, back in the 70s, wool turtlenecks were the best way to keep warm and not freeze.

But damn. Being strangled to death by a weak person with uber scratchy hands? ew.

I think that woulda scared the crap outta me too - to be fair to Kai! If I see a cockroach in my room, I sleep on the couch for a week. He'll move passed it and try again, just be patient. hugs and love to all!
