Kai's first report card and evaluation

We had our first ever parent teacher conference for Kai today. He is doing very well. There are a few points to work on, of course. But otherwise, it's all good. The teacher mentioned his potential for the gifted and talented program. She said that she usually leaves that for the parents to decide. Wow! Is it possible Kai is that old already? I've been gone from Lj too long!
That does sound like a very good report tho :) Yay!! It doesn't surprise me much that he's gifted tho, his Dad is pretty darn smart.

Grats! I was at the young end of my classmates - august birthday - and (according to my mom) my teachers every year in grade school commented on how I was generally shy the first half of the year, and the second half I seemed to catch up socially with everyone else. I have no idea how much of that was due to my introversion and how much to my age lag, though.

Heh, I didn't start with the being incomprehensible to classmates until 5th or 6th grade! Go Kai!

We were both very happy after talking to the teacher.

I just kept imagining him talking to them about "building structures properly with a strong foundation". Or about the parts of an insect.
