Kai's first report card and evaluation

We had our first ever parent teacher conference for Kai today. He is doing very well. There are a few points to work on, of course. But otherwise, it's all good. The teacher mentioned his potential for the gifted and talented program. She said that she usually leaves that for the parents to decide. I told her that I felt that he needed to be more proficient in a few things (like reading, etc) before we would consider that. Given that he is on the younger end of his classmates, he is hanging in quite well. I'm just glad he really loves to learn.

EDIT: I forgot to add that his teacher mentioned that the subject matter that Kai talks about to the other kids often goes over their heads and they don't get what he is talking about..
