Virgin rain is a weather phenomena common to heat ridden areas, where rain falls but evaporates before it hits the ground. I don't know much about criminal law, or justice systems, but I do know that building life from other life on Earth, in my time and place, would not only be frowned upon but highly illegal.

May I add that I fully intend on discussing this philosophically and not literally? I do not wish you to think I'm a murder without any compassion.

The original question should state - who are we to create unnatural life out of the lives of something that was once living?

I would never have considered you one. I default to assuming most conversations are hypothetical.

If we are the cause of their existence, then the ethical dilemma is then, whether it is more moral to destroy what shouldn't exist, or if it harms nothing, to allow it to live undisturbed and happy.

No. This is a matter of whether or not we believe that we can influence the nature around us to accept us, though it doesn't wish to and struggles not to.

Some species can influence the Force, if you consider the Force as a sentient extension of nature, to accept almost anything.
