Got the first overhang put up. I think it will look pretty good once I get the drip edge, shingles, etc. attached; these things hide a multitude of sins. For all that it looks a bit... haphazard... in its unfinished state, it also looks "right" for the house

Dad put the fear of backing up straight into me when I had to learn how to back into his driveway... using a boat of an Impala to do so. Oh wait, it wasn't just backing into it, it was backing DOWN into it, at a very steep slope, in a narrow driveway between two houses rather close to one another. I don't trust myself to back into a driveway now unless I have a flag man out there waving directions. I haven't hit anything, but having been through that experience, I've have a heightened sense of caution now.
