The glass of victory scotch I was planning to have upon completing my final draft of Summerhill had to get downgraded to my sip of victory scotch because it's almost 4:30 in the morning and I need to get to bed.

But I'll say this:

I'm going to sleep happy with a huge smile on my face.

I don't think it's fully sunk in yet, actually. I mean, intellectually I know it's happened, and I'm really happy about it. Maybe tonight when I'm having drinks at the club it'll hit me.

Big Congrats to you! Just yesterday I finished the final on my first book and sent it to the proofreaders. Its a HUGE feeling! You.deserve that Scotch. What's your favorite brand?

Oh, that's such a tough question because I like different labels that all taste different.

For sweeter, more caramelly, I really like Springbank. For smokier, peatier scotches, I'm a big fan of Ardbeg. MacCallan is good for a just plain 'middle of the road' scotch.
