Thanks everyone for comments on the post below! I'm downloading and scanning as I type...hopefully I can get this machine clean again. It's a real lemon and I'm ready to give it the boot, and I mean that literally - I want to kick it!

Anyone have any tips on spyware removal/virus issues? I have AVG, the full version, and it isn't catching what ever I have. I can't access my websites because every time I use an ftp program I upload a trojan to the server. Also, windows tells me that we have a bunch of adware (little message in the corner) but AVG isn't catching it. All my ( Read more... )

Well, I'm quite disappointed with IJ. It hardly ever works for me and when it does it's slow as a snail. Oh well - I will still use it to check up on friends there but I don't see myself post too much there. I guess I'm still waiting to see if any other service can rival LJ...
