Several days ago, I casually posted to Facebook that I had had Brussels sprouts and roasted taters for dinner. The responses were interesting as there appears to be no halfway ground on sprouts: people either love or hate them. Violently. Which got me thinking as to why...and I recalled that several weeks ago I bought some frozen sprouts to try.

I also find that it's key to halve or quarter larger ones so that they're a consistent size for cooking. Where you're using lemon juice above, I like to substitute chicken broth, which will nicely de-glaze the pan and adds a nice depth of flavor.
