It wasn't difficult at all to get a meal in Vegas. The streets swarmed with potential food and avarice flooded the alleys and byways of the entire city. Drug addicts swarmed in the slums, entrepreneurs who would kill for success walked about, noticing their own ilk and pondered whether or not to make an ally or to just devour their own

Hissing, I straighten, startled as Klaus appears out of nowhere. The three mortals that were watching me look surprised. I easily knock them all out by exploiting the pressure points at their necks and growl at Klaus.

"That wasn't the most intelligent thing you've ever done!"

Getting a hold of myself, I collect what was left of the lovely little drug and put it in my pocket before straightening my hair and my clothing.

"What problem?"

I didn't know that Vlad the friggin' Impaler snorted up drugs. If I had, perhaps I would've knocked!

I vamp out and hiss right back, "If you're going to have that sort of attitude, forget it. It's not as though I batted in here, bit one of your druggie friends, and then proceeded to lay out our entire history for the other. I just thought you'd like to know that Luxembourg may or may not be under seige by your precious offspring's vampires when we return."

With that, I head out of the bathroom. If he wanted to be pissy, then fine.

I could've told him that turning Sophie sure as hell wasn't the most intelligent thing he'd ever done, but that would be crossing boundaries that just weren't safe.

I raise an eyebrow and grab his shoulder. This is a side of Klaus that I've hardly ever seen, and now that he is his own vampire, I'm rather... pleased to see it. Calming down, I press him easily, one handed, against the stall door.

"What happened? Explain - and do calm down." I smile. His newfound authority is arousing and I have to calm down myself in order to understand. "Sophie's been making vampires? How did you find this out?"

He's still stronger than I am. Physically, at least. Very little surprise there.

Calm down? I had been perfectly calm until he opted to snark at me. Whatever. Let bygones be bygones.

"I ate one. It was sizing me up for a snack and I happened to destroy it first. Inferior creature, really not worth the time and effort, which makes me think she's not creating these things on purpose." A sloppy killing? Perhaps he wasn't quite dead when she thought he was.

"I tasted her on him, in his blood." There was always the possibility that this was a fluke, that she made only one mistake and I had disposed of it.

"Up to you as to how you wish to proceed. I just figured it'd be best to tell you what I found." That way, I get to be absolved of all responsibility.

And it'd be up to Alex whether or not to cut the vacation short. Dammit, and I was really enjoying myself too. "If it's any consolation, he tasted awful." And I was still hungry.
