Warning: Pit of Voles!

Wow, yeah, I just had a true fandom moment because I started to write a snarkly reply that I realized I couldn't possibly send to the original commenter. It would have been a flame and I don't want to flame that one person; I want to flame everyone who thinks the incredibly stupid thing ( Read more... )

Here's the latest Catwoman cover. Show of hands from everyone who wants me to do the Batman version!
-- OH! OH! OH! Me! I wants please! I'd also like to request a Nightwing version because that pose and the pun on his name is just too easy to resist.

I am still in flame mode (and eating awesome chocolate chip cookies), so what pun? *is slow when it comes to men*

That pinup is, um. Hot. Man.

That cover, though. Sigh.

YES. DO THE BATMAN VERSION. Complete with the lights shining on his ass and crotch. Don't forget Brucie's socks stuffed down there.

I totally would have forgotten the socks! Thank you for reminding me, as Batman traditionally does not have socks.

Keith and I agreed that a) Selina has no ass and is either b) a man or c) some sort of beetle is perched on her back.

Sorry to have annoyed you, but I think you misunderstand my point.

Pants are not butch. No, really, they're not. They haven't been, since the 1950's or so. I'll give a decade wriggle room if the belt is too tight. They can be butch, if combined with an overall masculine image, appearance or mannerisms, but, when combined with a loose, flowing, open collared very much women's suit, long styled hair, lipstick, make-up, jewelry and high heels? In the old fashioned parlay, that's femme, pants or no pants. There sure is some archaic stereotyping and cultural lag goin' on here, but it ain't necessarily by the artist.I don't think pants are butch. And I never said Kathy *looked* butch in the picture. She looks very feminine. Described all on its own, her outfit certainly is very feminine ( ... )
