Have you read Richard Feynman's memoirs?

I read one of his books (SURELY YOU'RE JOKING, I think), but you're right, I should read more.

Thanks!

You know David Sedaris is going to be at Porter Square Books tonight at 7, right?

Augusten Burroughs frequently gets compared to Sedaris, but I don't really see it--Burroughs doesn't have the same humor. I Was Told There'd Be Cake by Sloane Crosley is supposed to be good (haven't read it), and Laurie Notaro's books (The Idiot Girls' Action Adventure Club, among others) share a self-deprecating humor but her humor isn't as dry.

This list should give you some starting points, too. (Scroll down for non-fiction titles.)

This is what happens when you let a librarian read your LJ entries! :)

Dang! I did NOT know he was in town! I did get to see him read recently though, so I'm not TOO bummed that I missed this. (I'm working.)

And I LOVE having librarians reading my LJ!

Librarians are awesome!

Aw, thanks!

Let this be a lesson, though: we lurk along quietly and you don't even know we're around, but ask one book-related question, and there we are!
