SimPE is no simple task

Another 'HALP PLEASE' post, I'm afraid that's all I'm really here to say yet again D: BUT! Hopefully will be getting back in the swing of things soon. Nearly done exams! Only one more to go :D

So. I'm trying to extract sims using SimPE yes? And following this ovely tutorial, which is really good and helpful. Just that SimPE won't load ma simmies. I

The only thing that I can really tell you is that SimPE is sluggish and make take a while to load... :/ I know that mine does, and freezes sometimes several times along the way.

Don't be sorry, thank you for making me feel not so nervous about it going up in flames! xD So just best to leave it until it all pops up right? Do you run other programs at the same time?

I usually just leave it, but I do my best to close all other programs - I go through task manager and do a clean through of stuff running in the background, but I don't recommend this unless you know what programs you are stopping. (; Big power sucks I generally close - skype, sometimes my internet browser, definitely Steam (if you have that). That can help.

Aaaah, that may be why it was so bad - I had Skype, interwebs, and another couple of folders open. I'll have to try again in the morning, thank you so much for thr help! :D

I'll second that simPE is sluggish.
it's been a while since I used it or opened sims 2, but it would always take a while to load a new neighborhood or anything like that, though once I got into the neighborhood screen into the sim surgery it started being a little quicker.
