I really liked the beginning of the fic; it was like...the calm before the storm or something like that, with everything calm in Budapest. And I also liked the contrast between what was going on in Budapest and in Japan. Really nice :D

Thank you so much for commenting ♥ I intended it to be to some sort of calm before the storm and I'm so glad you noticed that. Also, we here in Europe probably had a different view and other opportunities of reading news about the events compared to people in Japan, plus the far distance of course. So I'm relieved that this contrast, as you call it, really did become obvious :)

This story has slow pace, but it's good, because suits Akame and their rebonding friendship. Nice work here ;)

Somehow I often choose slow paces for my stories. I'm a bit too much influenced by independant movies I guess >.<

Mariko's story made me cry :(
I like how you add the side stories, it makes the whole thing more real especially how Akame deal with what happened.
I also like how you focus on everyone's feelings. You did a good job <3

Sorry for making you cry Rokziie >.< But it's probably not possible to read or watch anything related to 311 without being at least a bit sad. Mariko's story is one of many but it's a special one that moved me a lot when I first heard about it so I really had to include it. Thanks for liking my fic ♥

This must be the first Akame fic that made me cry about the OCs instead of Kame or Jin ;_; Very nice how you weaved Akame's relationship into these weeks of disaster.

The image of Kame standing at the beach reminds me of Caspar David Friedrich, it has the same oppressive atmosphere T_T

Comparing parts of my fic to Caspar David Friedrich gave me goosebumps when I read your comment! I love romanticism! It's my favourite era of literature and I'm probably influenced by it.... thank you so much ♥

While writing this I cried several times too. I forced myself rewatching all possible videos on youtube and researching for info so that was really exhausting sometimes :/ For the people there it's far from being over, but I felt the need of sorting out those sad memories a bit. I felt it would've been disrespectful focusing on Akame only and there would've been so many other OC stories to tell. I'm glad it worked out for you as a reader! Sorry for making you cry :") But I guess it's impossible to shrug this topic off without any sad feelings...
