A year in reading (that's the verbal not the town)

I keep a note of what I read usually, (if I remember) and my god! it's been a slow year. I only read 13 books! Largely due, I would guess to my massively more involved role as a journalist this year and the time I'd usally devot to reading, on the bus or in the evenings, has been taken up somewhat by Viv distracting me with television and other

To be fair it's a good story, once he stops twittering on about Kahlan leading her Rambo-style Che Guevara attacks on the Order. That just annoyed me, as it was exactly the same as the stuff in the second book.

The whole carving statues and setting up black-markets was decent, even if it was stolen wholesale from The Fountainhead.
