Well over a month ago the general manager at my theatre brought a huge box of mylars (the little signs for movies that go above the doors to the theatres and in the lobby and above the box office) upstairs and said to me "Here - you're artistic.  Do something cool with these."  He really just intended for me to stick them on the wall any old way,

That is SO cool! The blues fading into the sun makes it look almost like a painting. There's something really cool about having unassuming people walk into your workplace and being confronted with art - I love it when art pops up in the most unexpected places.

Back when I worked at T.J. Maxx, my first week the only thing they made me do was arrange displays artfully. So I made little theme displays and had ever so much fun (nothing actually *artistic*, like you did, but it was at least color-coordinated) - I was like, "damn, I could do this job forever!" :P (Of course, they snatched me away to do regular mindnumbing backbreaking retail shit after that).
