So, OK, as previously reported, I have one academic reference for an MA, but the second has not been forthcoming (or even replied to). This means I'm going to have to start exploring avenues of people who probably don't remember me or my essays, or just bite the bullet and end up with both of my references being people teaching on the MA. DRAGON AAAAGE! I like that it's traditional but does good things with familiar elements. And most of the NPCs are yummy.

I love the fact that it feels like a nice gap-filler between games like Baldur's Gate and Oblivion. Involving, freedom to wander away from the linear storyline, but also an emphasis on really strong storytelling and characters.

Also, yes, yes they are. I like the pretty king, even though he is an idiot. And I just squee over how adorable Bertilak is - I'm not even much of a dog person!

Oh man, I sympathise so hard. And go for the MA teachers, why not. It'll make their decision that much easier.

Thank God that Fate is on my side. Not an hour after I'd written that post and was walking towards the bus stop from the switch board, I just happened to pass the lecturer who hadn't replied (I've never seen him wandering around campus while I've been working there) and got confirmation about my reference from him. He just hadn't got round to replying *rolls eyes*

I know what you mean. He's purdy and sarcastic and slightly emo, and has such a nice voice. It's a pity the guy who plays him isn't anywhere near as attractive as his voice would suggest.
