Before I begin, can I just get this out of my system and say HOLY MOTHERFUCKING SON OF A BITCH, THAT EPISODE KICKED ASS.

I do have a couple things that, upon the 3rd rewatch, I felt the need to ramble about.

It's long, so beware! )

ramblings, i think too much, supernatural, reaction

My best guess on the vaccine plan: everybody who'd be infected by the first round would then play possum like whatsherface in 2x09 did until enough people were infected and there'd been enough of a time delay that even if anybody figured out it was the vaccine it'd be too late for stopping distribution to do anything.

Hmm. I suppose so, yeah. Maybe there's kind of a time delay in the virus? A demon sets if off when the time is right or something? In "Croatoan," the effects weren't instantaneous, either, so maybe it's responsive to what the demons want done with the virus.

Three-hour incubation period in Croatoan. Effectively instantaneous. Though maybe they built in a short incubation period in Croatoan because they were testing the effects, and there's a longer incubation period on what's going out in the vaccine?

Yeah, maybe they used a different kind of virus for that one, or one that wasn't as far along in the creation process. It seems like they were still fiddling with it in 5.20, so the viruses are probably slightly different.

That is so very not the reason I thought the demon blood revelation this ep came out of left field. My theory's been for a while that all demons get their power from Lucifer's grace, in much the same way that ordinary angels get their power from heaven. (Ben Edlund interview from Comic Con says Lucifer's hell's battery.) So demon blood's got a shadow of Lucifer's grace and that's what gave Sam his powers and that's what kicked his powers into high enough gear to bust past his mental blocks. (So Ruby wasn't lying either time, not when she said it'd help him and not when she said he didn't need it.) But if all that's true, how would ingesting little bits of Lucifer's grace fortify Nick against being burned up by the rest of Lucifer's grace?

Huh. Y'know, I never thought about demons/angels that way before, but it makes perfect sense. Since Nick's not Lucifer's true vessel, to me it makes more sense that he'd have to make his body stronger that way, more "angelic," I guess. I mean, if demons are feeding off of Lucifer's grace, then they're sort of angelic in and of themselves, right? That would make Nick stronger. Still doesn't really explain why Sam would need it, though. If Sam and Dean are meant to be vessels, shouldn't their bodies already be able to handle the strain of hosting an angel?

I was thinking the demon blood thing was because Lucifer was no longer connected to heaven. Castiel was slowly losing power because of his disconnection. So, Lucifer needs to keep himself juiced up and he might be doing that with demon blood.

1) I so agree that Cas is keeping some Angel-mojo. There are too many minor things - like his knowing about Adam hooking up with Mike - that can be explained no other way ( ... )

I had my dobuts with this episode...
and The scene when bobby just started walking again, was one of them.
I was like. Really?, REALLY?
I always thougth there was going to be a lot of cry-and-hugs kind of stuff when he raised himself from the wheelchair, but anything is perfect so.
Beside I just loved the ending part, that when Dean is being selfish because he kind of rather save his brother ass than the entire world
OH DEAN!
can someone love more than that?
I just dont think it could be possible, EVER.

And well yeah, i watched next episode preview too and honestly
it will be a total understatement to say that it just broke my heart.

pd_: srry i didnt comment alot ´bout tha episode but, i just watched the sneek peek whatever for next week and, and...
well
i think you get the point

oh I almost forget, sammy asking bobby if he had kissed crowley was hilarious!
bravoo sam, even if you..if you... the next time... and Dean...
*goes to a dark place and cries, LOUD!*
see ya
