I'm going to Hong Kong at the end of the month for a conference + a few days of my own time.
Oh, I tried quitting work but my boss convinced me to stay a bit longer. So now when he calls when I'm busy I feel absolutely no incentive to answer. What's he going to do, fire me? ^^
After that, the next most exciting thing this year was taking some plants out of the pond so I could try to kill the blue-green algae.
I tend to be of the opinion that boring is not necessarily a bad thing =) Having an ~interesting~ life veers much too close to that old Chinese curse. =O
Gentle reports are just as welcome as freakish drama =D
Hong Kong sounds like fun... I've never been there but my oldest son has traveled there several times on business... HK looks pretty intense =) Is it work related? How awesome you can give your boss the brush off when you want!! \o/
Blue-green algae... hmmmm, at one point in my life I actually took capsules of blue-green algae purported to be very healthy. (my in-laws were selling it) I lost interest... pond scum is much more fun =)
Ah, and here comes more fog rolling in... we've not been over 16C for weeks now while so much of the country is very hot. I LOVE the cool Pacific air!!!
Work (software development) is down to 3 hours a week as I get more into research, and get more work at uni tutoring and as a research assistant (doing what I would be researching anyway). I've little idea what's going on now and accomplish little. My boss there doesn't want me to go, though. I must really have been undercharging. I can actually spare the 3 hours, and the money is nice, but I so don't care about the work now.

I've missed you! You don't post often and I never seem to be able to keep up with my favorite peeps on LJ =(
(don't do much better on FaceBook... and most of them are family! =O )
