Also, if I had mock seitan duck, fresh mint, fresh summer squash sliced thin on the mandoline, fresh basil, fresh shiitakes, and a little salad of shredded raw beet and carrot mixed with a bit of rice vinegar, salt and agave nectar "lying around", my life would probably be significantly better.
ha ha. i sound so bourgeouis when you put it like that. :-(
but really! the seitan is in a can, i always have some in the pantry, they're like $1.29. the mint and basil are from the garden, and we just got some of the other stuff from the farmers' market. but the beet really was just lying around! it's been in the fridge for months.
hehe... totally meant it like "If only I would get off my lazy ass, I could have that stuff 'lying around' my fridge." :)
In fact, since there's a farmer's market fairly close to my apartment, I now feel like I should get off my lazy ass and go to it. Man cannot live by Trader Joe's alone! Once again, you are a constant source of inspiration.
