Now what?

We appear to now be functionally broke. All of our unemployment money is spent before it comes in, and it's to the point now where we'll need to sell our stuff to cover what's left. I haven't been pushing hard to get a job because there's the contract written up for GHS, but that's been "a done deal" for about 8 weeks now.. And the contract itself ( Read more... )

Make a picnic and give her a tea party in the park for her birthday....

You can find things that are cheap / free to do. Be resourceful. You can do it. :)

*HUGS* I'm sorry Todd... I wish I could make some suggestions. Jay and I have cashed in our retirement plans at this point, and I'm going back to school so financial aid will help a bit. Has Jess ever looked into disability for the Fibromyalgia, depression or migraines? They seem to make it impossible for her to effectively work, maybe disability might be an option? I'm looking into it currently for the bleeding disorder, knee injury and back injury as well as perhaps the Hep C. Just a thought.

Perhaps.. But it would make it all but impossible to get into New Zealand if that was the case. Plus, getting onto disability isn't exactly the solution to an acute problem. The number of people rejected on their first attempt approaches 100% from what I understand, and then you need to go through appeals.

There'll be a way to make it work. I'm confident in that. I just need to get work.
