Now what?
We appear to now be functionally broke. All of our unemployment money is spent before it comes in, and it's to the point now where we'll need to sell our stuff to cover what's left. I haven't been pushing hard to get a job because there's the contract written up for GHS, but that's been "a done deal" for about 8 weeks now.. And the contract itself has languished on the president's desk for 3 weeks now.
I've begun to apply to positions in Boston, Chicago, California and Washington. That process will kick up farther this upcoming week. I get the impression that Michigan is a lost cause, so the focus will be elsewhere.
Jess' birthday is on Tuesday.. I'm bummed because I've always been working too much to plan something nice for her.. and now a different lack of resources will continue that trend I wish I knew how to make it work, though.
Just need to keep trying.
