So this, okay. This has been sitting in my WiP folder for a while now because it's pretty much ridiculousness all over the place and has no actual plot-thing attached. Mostly it is me indulging myself and laughing like a demented hyena because that's just how I roll.

Oh my God. It is a sad sign of how far I've fallen away from bandom that Danny being from Jersey didn't make my brain go, INSTANT CONNECTION!!! So I'm super duper glad your brain apparently did, because this? Delightful. Possibly my favorite part is how Steve didn't feel the need to escape, probably because, um, more than two seconds in the company of Gerard Way would probably make this clear. Except how definitely my favorite part is actually: Danny's trying not to let the fact that having Steve right there in his face, chest brushing his, arms on either side of him with his hands on the counter isn't getting to him. That sentence has some lovely physicality to it, even as it sort of sums up how I see Danny and Steve, which is Steve crowding into Danny's life all fond smiles and big Navy SEALness, while Danny plays hard to get despite being thoroughly gotten.
