Reporting from CLAMP EXHIBIT in Angoulême

Due to a fair amount of Hitsuzen, I was on holiday in Paris this weekend, thus being to attend the CLAMP EXHIBIT in Angoulême (during the annual "Festival de la BD", that was advertise as a the biggest CLAMP event in Europe).

But the most important thing I habe to say: French publishers got their problems with logo designs. Tsubasa looks quite ugly (I prefer the German one) and they translated Clover WTF. >___<

Translating titles is bleh, but otherwise quality is the same as German one, can't complain about translations in general.

Pourquoi faut-il que ce festival se déroule à Angoulême?! Je ne peux pas quitter Paris à cause de ma charge de travail!

Pour ce qui est de la mise à jour française... Je pense que quelques fans français lisent les scans, mais très, très peu... Petite anecdote qui va dans ce sens : à la dernière Japan Expo, il y avait un Fye avec un bandeau sur l'oeil! Alors que je remerciais la cosplayeuse, un groupe de gamines est arrivé et a commencé à s'exclamer: "Mais... c'est Fye?! Qu-Qu'est-ce qui est arrivé à son oeil?!" J'ai filé rapidement, laissant à la pauvre jeune fille le soin de donner les explications ^^'

Bref, cela fait plus de six mois que je publie des traductions de TRC sur mon LJ, et les seuls à les lire sont des amis à qui je pourrais aussi bien les poster par e-mail... Je pense que ceux qui sont suffisament intéressés lisent directement en japonais ou en anglais.

Bref, merci beaucoup pour toutes ces photos!!

Ah c'est dommage! Mais pour une fois que ce n'est PAS Paris^^;

Infinity!Fye? Ca sonne bien!! Je ne peux malheuresment pas me rendre aussi souvent à Paris que je le voudrais, et encore moins la première semaine de Juillet (je suis souvent encore en exams)

Je ne savais pas qu'il y avait des traductions de TRC en VF! J'en avais jamais vues sur Mangahelpers et je pensait donc m'y atteler dès le prochain chapitre! Merci pour l'info du coup^^

En fait, c'était Fye en costume "célesien", simplement avec l'eyepatch en plus... mais c'était déjà super!! Par contre j'ai enragé, parce que la veille elle était venue avec un Kurogane, je les avais repéré dans la queue, et n'avais pas pu les prendre en photo... aujourd'hui encore je m'en veux, lol. Il y a Manga Paris bientôt, le 8 et 9 mars... ce qui est fantastique, puisque pendant cette période, on a rarement de partiel, concours ou examen blanc! Personnellement, ça tombe pendant le dernier week-end de mes vacances! Enfin, c'est juste une info en passant ^^

J'ai pensé un moment publier mes traductions sur mangahelpers, mais ce qui m'embarasse un peu, c'est que je ne fais que traduire à partir de l'anglais... donc ce n'est qu'une traduction de traduction ^^'

Je voulais faire Fye version Infinity à Japan Expo, mais comme on est un groupe on a opté pour CodeGeass. J'ai pas de bons souvenirs en rapport avec le cosplay clampien, l'an passé j'ai fait une "neko musume" et personne ne m'a reconnue^^;;; Mais Fye c'est quand même plus connu xD

En Mars je vais essayer d'aller en Allemagne, à Leipzig il y a la "Buchmesse" et c'est pas mal non plus. Comme le train va déjà coûter bonbon faudra choisir^^;

Bah, je suspecte la trad.allemande de faire la même chose, la version espagnole aussi, alors je vois pas le mal^^

I was really curious about this, I was so tempted to go - only I live in another State, it would have been far too expensive *sigh*
I'm sorry it didn't live up to your expectations though... you're right, news and freebies would have been good! Even though I guess those recent panels could be considered new infos for people who don't follow the internet releases ._. I don't know how many Tsubasa volumes have ben released in France, but don't eyepatch!Fai and Tomoyo give away too much of what's to come?

So far, the French could enjoy vol.18 of TRC, so they ought to know about Fay, and otherwise there weren't many spoilers (even on the pics that I haven't uploaded yet, most of them are from Nippon Arc)

Well, it was expensive for me too, I needed to take the TGV twice to get there. Thank god it was the TGV, because 8hours train in 3 days is more than enough^^;;
