Reporting from CLAMP EXHIBIT in Angoulême

Due to a fair amount of Hitsuzen, I was on holiday in Paris this weekend, thus being to attend the CLAMP EXHIBIT in Angoulême (during the annual "Festival de la BD", that was advertise as a the biggest CLAMP event in Europe).

Awesome! I wanted to go to the Festival de la BD so bad when I was in Paris, but had no one to go with. XD Btw trames = "tones" in English.

I didn't really cared about the festival itself, I just went there for Clamp. And maybe to check out this much-vaunted festival too^^;

BY THE WAY, did you resize those pictures, by any chance? Are your original ones bigger? If so, ettou, you think you can give them to me? I would love to have bigger versions of these ^^

Well I didn't care about the odd looks of the organisators, and I had a bit of a chit-chat with one of the headgorillas and then they stopped nagging (girls have it easier, I know, and I'm shamelessly abusing of it xD)

I doubt anyone dared to camcord it, the security was pretty tight, and my camera doesn't do vids -___-
My crappy pictures came out readable tho, I'm the first to be surprised xD

There was a step-by-step "how to screentone Fye" from the white outlines to the final product (they use liquid paper to make the "dots" effects xD)

I'm uploading the real size on Monday at photobucket, is that also OK for you? Originals are about 2600x2000 large. It would take very long to email them^^;

Well at least you got to go, I would have been fangirling (which I did a bit of it at my desk) to see the Gouhou Drug manga on display T-T (which they really have to finish) but yea, I guess CLAMP is a group of very busy ladies...(especialy as you say it takes them 4 days to do some stuff...and they're working on 3 stories at once...

Sadly, there was no copy to leaf through, and no unseen GD art T__T

I was fangirling every single piece of original art, and drooling on the frame. Poor, poor visitors who had to witness this^^;;;
