I really like the way they deal with the different ways people deal with different emotions on this show. They don't do it consistently (which I think is more different writers different takes on them) but when they do do it, I'm impressed by it. Wo Fat uses his hate of people to eliminate them, Adam hates someone and he's all about making them feel the same pain he does, Steve hates someone and he is mostly all about punishing them mostly to the letter of the law. All of them want their 'victim' to pay, but each of them has a different price.
Also, I am probably one of the few that liked the Adam/Kono I'm guessing. Even strong women fall in love and do stupid schmoopy things, why would Kono be any different. Would I have liked to see the beginnings of the relationship? Definitely but to me they both seemed to be equally emotionally committed, I didn't see either of them as weak, just blinded by their affection.
Yes, Wo Fat, Adam and Steve have all experienced their fathers being murdered in cold blood and they have all reacted differently, which makes for awesome storylines for future episodes.
I did like that Adam seemed to be as torn up as Kono but how did they think their secret relationship was going to end? Someone was going to get hurt and if Adam had his way Kono would have still been tied up at that house when he brought back Wo Fat. And after he killed Wo Fat what was he going to do with Kono?
These are questions I have that we are never going to get the answers to.
Seriously, how could this seem like a good idea to Kono? At what point did she think she and Adam could go public and have a future together?
And how did they first get together? "Remember that time when you tortured Joe White and my boss showed up to rescue him and kick all of your butts? The entire time I was thinking of showering with you!" WTF?!
I am forever behind on all things LJ, but now that I've finally caught up on H5O, I can just come in here and nod my head in agreement with just about everything you had to say!
Wo Fat/Steve = one of my favorite things in the history of H5O things, if I'm being honest. Interesting dynamic indeed.
McDanno, of course, is my absolute favorite. Alex and Scott play so well off each other it's ridiculous.
I really can't even touch Kono and Adam with a ten foot pole. It's all sorts of wtf?! (Although, he certainly is pretty to look at.)
I could talk about the McDanno to the cows come home :)
I do hope the Adam/Kono thing is resolved next season--if the show wants the two of them in a relationship, then they need to make damn sure that he has washed his hands of organized crime.
