Today has been a great Monday. I've walked approximately 18 miles or so in the past week, and have been eating noticeably more fruits and vegetables lately. I feel good, again

You're inspiring. And don't call me foolish, or think me an idiot for saying so. You're inspiring because you're recognizing the things you don't like, and while you may have some stubbornness in changing old habits, you're still on the road to making the changes you desire. You're already making improvements in your life...and you're feeling a lot better in the process. Yes, you're still going to have down days in the future. Those come and go, that's part of life. But you're getting up in the morning at a reasonable hour. You're getting out and about...and by doing so, you're getting dressed and being productive. You're walking. You're eating better. Look at all those improvements you've stated in just one entry. No really. Go reread it and think about those improvements. And then read your last paragraph, especially the bit about enjoying life more. Keep at it. You'll be happier for it. And as you said to me earlier...if you will it to be, it's not just a dream.

I really appreciate this comment in ways I don't know how to express in any language. I wish I had something more original to say than that, but I mean it. that acknowledgement on my part, however, that words can not adequately express what I want them to should be, like your father's advice, seen for what it is: a major admission and something to not take lightly.
