I always say that the only reason I really do well in school is because I go to every class. It's actually vitally important. Who knows, though. Maybe you would go and you'd do an amazing job if you had to go and do it all over again.

yeah. but seriously, all things considered, I still have done reasonably well in life considering I don't really show up most of the time. right? I mean, I pulled off two bachelor's in 4 years, and maintained above a 3.0 GPA at a UC. man, if only I would have attended more classes...

I have been slacking in school all semester. Next week I have finals and I cannot bring myself to care about them. I'm hoping the restorative properties of an exciting summer will make me feel less burned out in the fall.

I was a linguistics major for about half a year before I switched my concentration to American lit, but that feels like a lifetime ago.

UCSC teaches a course on the muppets. Muppet Magic: The Life and Times of Jim Henson. I tried googling it, so I could show it to you in the course catalog, but the theatre arts department hasn't updated their page since the 2008-2009 school year! oy vey. I hope it still exists. :(

It was a great class. The first half was all theory about muppets and acting and what not, you know, real theatre stuff. The second half was ALL MUPPETS ALL THE TIME. Seriously, we devoted classes to watching: The Muppet Movie (1979), Labyrinth, and The Dark Crystal. It was phenomenal!

My biggest regret: I skipped out a lot. Also, I don't have a copy of the final paper I wrote, but it did get an A+. Sigh.

lol, it was a great class. I actually only skipped out a lot on the beginning. there was really really cool stuff in that class too. like a punch and judy show and a live performance by the Gonzo!
