I loved this. I love reading these awesome little snippets of you. I totally want to hang out with you and bake something delicious (and chocolatey!) and listen to your tunes. But if I shake it, I might break something - coordinated, I am not.

I should start snapping pictures right away, of the place coming together slowly. I wish I'd started earlier. Out of curiosity, when you and Alex first moved in together, did you ever have any of those fleeting "oh no this will never work" feelings? I mean, the kind that eventually go away.

Aww, sugar! I'd dig hanging out with you too. You should come to Hawaii. And yesh, much baking will take place.

Yup. I had those feelings. Like "Oh My God, we just spent HOW much on couches/tables/lamps?? Where is this money coming from?? Will I have any money left???" For a while I was worried and I wasn't sure how I was going to manage paying for everything and day-to-day expenses, and if it'd work out at all.

The feelings do go away, but every now and then it seems ALL the bills are due at once and I worry about money. But it somehow all works out. :)

Yay you found a place!! I think all of us at one point lived in an apartment in a questionable part of town. My first place with the boy was like that, and after a while we learned how to sleep through the constant police, fire and ambulance sirens. Infact when we moved from there to another apartment across town, we found the silence a little frightening.

The neighborhood looks crappy, but I think people tend to look out for each other around here. However, I'm white, and none of my neighbors seem to be, and the Boyf and I have drawn a few looks. I want to point at him and tell him all, "Hey it's cool, he's Mexican!" but they probably wouldn't believe me. ;)

I'll have my new address up shortly. And how sweet of you, I do so love groovy things! XD
