Awesome Sauce from Madd Style Cosmetics... is truly that! But... what is it exactly???
- Foiling medium
- Eyeliner serum
- Glitter adhesive
- Lip Plumper
I decided to do a mini series dedicated to Awesome Sauce because there is just SO much information to cover in one blog post, especially if I am going to include how-tos and photos!
Awesome sauce comes in a little squeeze tube with a bad ass glitter label!
Although Awesome Sauce is 100% natural and vegan, I recommend to anyone when using a new product to check ingredients and to do a PATCH TEST.
Ingredients: Glycerin, Silicone and Distilled Water.
Patch Testing: Apply a small amount to your inner elbow or behind your ear lobe 24 hrs prior to actual use. For people with severe allergies, like me, test first on your inner elbow 48hrs prior.. if all goes smooth, then test behind the ear 24hrs prior. I personally have had no negative reaction to Awesome Sauce, unlike other foiling serums... Even on my lips or if it gets in my inner ducts, it has only a slight warming feeling from the glycerin.
Now, on to the fun stuff!!! Awesome Sauce as a glitter adhesive.
What you need:
- Awesome Sauce
- eye-safe cosmetic glitter (Madd Style currently only sells 1 loose glitter, but this will work with any EYE SAFE glitter)
- For option 1: Regular eyeshadow brush For option 2: Fluffy eyeshadow brush
- For option 1, you will need a mixing pot or palette, freshly cleaned
Now, there are 2 ways to do this, they are both short and simple!
Option one: put a drop or two (less is more with this amazing product!) of Awesome Sauce into your clean mixing pot, and use a clean utensil or your brush to scoop some glitter into the pot. Mix the two together. Use the brush to dab the glitter on (Don't drag the brush if you are using the glitter over eyeshadow... unless you are using this as eyeliner)
Option two: apply a small drop of awesome sauce to your fingertip and dab it where you want to put your glitter. Let it dry for a few seconds, so that it becomes a bit tacky. Take your fluffy eyeshadow brush, and pick up some glitter. Make sure to tap off the excess! Lightly pat the glitter on to the AS. You can use this option over shadow or on bare skin as well!!
In the following photos, I used option two with a red cosmetic glitter and MSC Bone Daddy Dust in my inner corners. You can definitely saturate the glitter more, just apply MORE glitter :)
