Sorry it's so late, Maria, I have been so busy and I was fighting it too -- I know you don't mind it being late, but I'm just saying! I like to be on time and this isn't.

That was beautiful and adorable. And seriously sweet. I like the image of them playing the piano together. ♥

Thank you so much. Isn't it kind of adorable? *sigh* Sweet boys.

I loved this to pieces. I could go on forever talking about it, about the parts I loved and the parts I simply adored. How Cook's hands remember the keys, and how reverently he plays the piano because it's not his instrument. And I loved Andy trying to teach him to play piano when they were younger - I can totally picture a rocker wannabe!Cook in his late teens.
The last part, with them kissing and matching the lyrics was amazingly sweet and fluffy and perfect.
What is this nonsense about being late? I love receiving gifts a week after my birthday, they keep it going on and that rocks!
Thank you very much for taking some time to write this for me, and for putting obviously so much love in it. I love you too, honey. I love you too.

I think the only thing I forgot to do was I was going to have Archie actually say something in Spanish at the end (the last lyric, perhaps), but maybe it worked out for the best because my translation skills often depend on the computer translations and you know we can't always trust it. Heehee, oh well.
Again, I'm sooo glad you liked it. And gosh! Now I'm thinking of young!Cook and young!Andy at a piano playing this silly romantic song. Ha ha ha ha. Oh goodness. XD

Well, you know, Archie speaking in Spanish might be a *bit* different than the Spanish I speak, because his is a bit more from South America rather than from Spain. So it's okay. Though you probably know enough of his Spanish to translate anything, babe, I know there are a lot of Latin American people teaching Spanish in the States.
Of course I liked it! I LOVED IT! How could I not? Young Andy trying to teach Cook to play the iano (See, Dave, you'll never romance a girl if you can't play this song on a piano) and Cook being all rocker and alternative (Andy, I don't want to romance girls, I want to look like sex on legs and that won't happen if I'm sitting at a piano)
Uhm, yeah.

I loved how you so effortlessly wrote about Cook's piano-playing history - as Lire says, the part where Cook knows it's not his instrument, and he's kind of in awe of how elegant and gentle and clean it is? JUST GETS ME, because it is such a PERFECT METAPHOR for how he kinds of sees Archie, gosh; he feels scruffy and unworthy around it, and around him.
And, when they sang "Heart and Soul" together? *tears*
