I love a capella music.
I'm in a mini a cappella quintet - a group of us decided to be the female answer to a barber shop choir and - you guessed it! - named ourselves The Hairdressers. Lol, as you can see it is a very title.

a capella music is songs that are sung without instruments. for example, people turn a piano part into something they can sing.. i.e. going 'doobeedoobee' instead of playing an actual note. that was a rubbish explanation but i hope you get what i mean :)

Acapella (it's two different words but linked together confusingly lol, like 'a lot') isn't the kind of music I'd like to perform constantly or even listen to for a long period of time but it's great fun - like you said. A group of friends and I did an instrument-less version of Don't Worry, Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin and the audience loved it lol.
