The difference of course is that Bush was the good upstanding Bible-believing Christian head of a Christian nation and therefore having him speak to the children was a glorious, divinely-blessed privilege. Obama, on the other hand, isn't even an American citizen and it a Muslim besides, and having him speak to the children is tantamount to taking them on a field trip to Lenin's Tomb.

These are the same folks who would watch Jesus Camp and think the director was out to get poor innocent little Christian kids.

It's not that I like the whole cult-of-personality Imperial Presidency kind of politics...I think it's done more disservice to this country than almost any other development in the 20th Century (not that it was entirely new). But all I have to do is look at the way some folks on the right treated Sarah Palin, and I say hello Pot? This is Kettle. There's something you should know....

Wow - I'm reading your post and watching Jon Stewart and you're both doing the same story - weird

I started Googling as soon as I saw that video on The Daily Show. I can't find it on YouTube; this article was the best I could do.

After watching in on the Daily Show, all I can say is OH GEEZ. Anyone who compares this to the Khmer Rouge, Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, or whatever-the-fuck is obtuse.

Fox is evil.

I wasn't sure before, I thought they were just taking an opportunity to make lots of money by deceiving people and causing pain and bloodshed (you know, normal business tactics). But they're really going out of their way to promote shit like this (tea bagging, birthers, etc).
