Rating: PG-13
Pre-Notes: This is all 1st_eggokage's fault, because when asked what character I should turn into a werewolf she said "DUSTIN. DUSTIN WOULD BE THE MOST HILARIOUS WEREWOLF." to which I said ". . . SEXY WEREWOLF. I NEED A SEXY WEREWOLF." and then she went :| and I sighed and now this exists. I'm sorry.
Disclaimer: Get out, Mark.
Summary: So Dustin is a werewolf. There is an unsurprisingly small amount of actually useful information on werewolves that is not related to sex. Which, by the way, Chris totally doesn't want to have with Dustin. Ever.

so just let it happen

So Dustin is a werewolf.

That's something Chris is definitely not expecting when he asks why Dustin is cracking his joints with an alarming frequency and getting increasingly antsy about sitting still. Mark doesn't notice, probably just chalks it up to regular Dustin behavior, but Chris does and he corners Dustin one day.

"Dustin, you okay?"
"I'm fine," Dustin absently cracks his fingers, "it's just close to the full moon."
Chris blinks, "What does that have to do with anything?"
Dustin rubs the back of his neck, not looking directly at Chris, "I'm kind of. A werewolf?"

The surprising part about Dustin being a werewolf isn't exactly the fact that he is one. It's the fact that once you learn that he is one, it doesn't really change anything at all unless it's suddenly understanding why Dustin disappears for an entire night when it's a full moon. He still sucks at Mario Kart, still is kind of a frenetic guy that doesn't always think before he speaks and still irritates Mark. So there's that.

Thing is that it kind of maybe makes Chris look at Dustin a little differently. Makes him wonder what it's like to transform, to have the whole of your body shift into something else. Dustin doesn't talk about it, just shrugs and says he doesn't really know how to explain it. Chris tries to look it up, and there is an unsurprisingly small amount of actually useful information that is not related to sex. Which, by the way, Chris totally doesn't want to have with Dustin. Ever.

Except how he kind of does. It doesn't really have to do with the werewolf thing, although Chris will totally man up to finding that sexy, it has to do with Dustin in general. There is just something inherently attractive about Dustin, only it's usually covered up by annoying and off-key renditions of Disney songs and other stupid things that make it hard to remember that Dustin is hot.

Dustin is hot, though, and it becomes increasingly difficult for Chris to ignore that-especially in the face of Mark and Eduardo's inability to get their shit together and just fuck already. Like, honestly. It's getting to the point where he's thinking of asking Dustin to help him shove Mark and Eduardo into a closet and lock them in. They're being unnecessarily difficult about the whole thing, and Chris is just tired of it. He's got his own problems, he doesn't have time to be dealing with Mark and Eduardo's too.

The thing is that Chris is pretty sure that Dustin is straight. With the amount of times he spends talking about tits and ass, Chris would be very surprised if Dustin wasn't painfully straight. Crushing on straight boys is no good for several reasons, most of which are obvious, so Chris ignores the fluttering his heart does every time Dustin smiles at him. There is absolutely no reason to get all worked up when Dustin will never reciprocate.

To say that it's surprising when Dustin, piss drunk, climbs into Chris' lap and kisses him? Understatement of the fucking year. It's nearly panic-attack inducing, and Chris barely remember to very gently push Dustin away. Dustin makes a sad face, and Chris smiles sadly at him.

"You're drunk," Chris says gently, "I don't want to do this when you're drunk, because you'll probably regret it in the morning."

Luckily, Dustin doesn't push it. Chris isn't expecting it to ever happen again, though, and he's not even expecting Dustin to remember that it happened in the morning. He doesn't tend to have the best memory of his drunken escapades, and Chris thinks it's better for everyone involved if Dustin just doesn't remember. So, when Dustin crawls into his lap for the second time, visibly sober, Chris doesn't know what to do.

"I'm not drunk," Dustin says evenly, "and I won't regret this in the morning."

Chris kisses him then, afraid that if he waits too long Dustin will disappear like he never existed. He kisses Dustin, and Dustin kisses back. He almost growls, and Chris groans at that, because he's kind of not over the werewolf thing yet. He thinks it's terrifying and beautiful all at once, and he's not entirely sure how it works but he knows that he wants to watch Dustin sometime. Well, maybe not watch. Maybe just sit around with Dustin's wolf self.

Dustin has said that his wolf self isn't particularly vicious. He mostly runs around and sometimes plays with the stray dogs, so Chris thinks he would be okay. It would be okay, and maybe even watching Dustin change would be okay, because it couldn't be any worse than the terrible cracking sounds Dustin made before and after the full moon, when his bones were shifting and transforming. It sounded like he was breaking things which, Chris figured, was kind of what he was doing. Mark was always mildly disgusted when Dustin made a particularly gruesome noises, but otherwise they had all gotten used to it.

They were so used to it that Chris knew, without having to scramble, that it was four days to the next full moon. He wondered how else Dustin changed before the full moon, wondered if any of the numerous things he read about having sex with a werewolf were actually true. It's not really the kind of thing he would ask Dustin, though, largely because he suspects that Dustin doesn't know.

The weight of Dustin is warm against him, and Chris has his fingers tangled in the hairs at the very base of Dustin's neck, trying to pull him in even closer. Trying to breath him in, almost. It's not something Dustin seems to mind, at any rate, and when Chris pulls away, panting, and Dustin slides off? He wraps his fingers around Chris' wrist and drags him to the bed.

But it's okay, because he's kind of expecting that.
