Not much new to report. Yesterday was Heather's birthday. We had a Mexican themed party for her, complete with tacos, margaritas, and yes, even a pinata. It was a lot of fun. Just some quality time away from school with the geology crew. Very much fun, but also reminds me of how I really know no one outside the department, that's a little sad ( Read more... )

So Frank's still in town, the job fell through with Gradient. The customer cancelled the job so Frank couldn't go. But there are several jobs coming up, and Frank is on the list for them. So he's a little bummed, but it was going to be a long time gone and if the grad school ever found out, Frank could have lost his TA even though I was covering ( Read more... )

So I just got back from the doctor, she was really nice, I am glad I went back to talk to a different doctor. She listened to my complaints and rechecked my bloodwork and took a family history unlike the last doctor. She believes I may have hypothyroidism, which would explain my constant tiredness and extremely sore hands and all the weight I've ( Read more... )

Frank is leaving for Nevada on Friday to do some fieldwork for a local geophysics company. Rumor has it that they are looking for a full-time hire too, so if this job in Nevada goes well and Frank likes what he sees and they like him, then there's a chance he could stay here next year and have a great job ( Read more... )

So I'm done for the semester and ready for break. I was really done on Wednesday afternoon when I went into school and turned in my takehome exam and my final stupid academic research paper.
