Awww...
So I just finished my last lab ever as a TA here in Montana (or so I think). It was kind of sad actually. I had one student ask me if I was going to be a teacher because I was really good at explaining things so she could understand. She said she was thinking about dropping the class but came to the first lab and had me help her and knew the class was going to be okay. I literally almost cried.
So that's done. I just have two papers and a summary left and they're not due until next Friday. Oh, and Manny's final exam, but its a take home (I have 24 hours to work on it and we're getting it at 10am on Monday). So there's light at the end of my tunnel for the semester.
I'm just excited to be done. I can spend the weekend wrapping and mailing Christmas presents, going sledding and doing a little work. I should start thinking about what I need to take back with me too, I have started a little list and a pile and I should keep working on that. I don't want to forget anything important.
Its my dad's birthday today, I should call him, but I think him and my mom are over in Manitowac signing on the new house (well at least the lot I guess since the house won't be built until next spring). What a birthday present for my dad :)
I'm actually getting really excited for vacation. I miss Michelle and my parents and all my friends from Tech. I really hope I get to see a lot of them over break, I think I'll have to do some travelling around Michigan (and Wisconsin, to see Miss Kate) when I am there (Frank's mom and dad said we could use one of their vehicles if we needed, which is super nice of them!). I think I just need a break and to visit old friends. I miss you all so much!
That's it for now. I'm going to call my dad and sing happy birthday to my parents' answering machine and then head upstairs (I'm at school) for the department's holiday party. I'm still not used to drinking beer at school (the department actually has its own beer/wine license, so they can serve alcohol at dept functions). There's yummy cookies though I think too, I spied them earlier when I went to check my mail up there.
P.S. Its really cold here too (West Yellowstone was the coldest spot in the nation yesterday). But at least its been sunny, I miss a lot of snow though (I think I got spoiled in Houghton)
